As an Adventure Camp Counselor at Terrapin Adventures, you'll be at the heart of creating a memorable and thrilling summer for children.
From high ropes challenges and zip-lining to traditional activities like arts and crafts, you'll guide and inspire the next generation of adventurers.
Get ready for a summer full of fun, growth, and the great outdoors! Training will be June 3rd-7th.
Camp operates from June 10th-August 23rd.
Job
Responsibilities:
Lead campers through various aerial adventure elements in our adventure park including zip lining, high ropes, rock climbing, and a giant swing.
Lead traditional camp activities like arts and crafts, environmental education, hiking, etc.
Lead or assist with ground-based adventure activities like kayaking, river tubing, caving, camping, backpacking, and more.
Maintain a safe and appropriate environment for all campers in our care.
Collaborate with other counselors to manage a group of 12 campers.
Assist with programs that include overnight camping as needed.
Experience:
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is a plus - Experience working at height or past participation in adventure activities is a plus - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff members We offer:
